Welcome to the Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library

The Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library serves as the library for the city of Presque Isle. It replaced the Carnegie Library upon its dedication in 1967.

Mark and Emily Turner were prominent philanthropists in the area. Mark Turner was a successful potato farmer and spearheaded the economic revitalization of the town after the end of the Second World War took away a lot of the city's business.

In 1964 the couple made a donation for the expansion of the standing town library. It then reopened in 1967 as the Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library.
